sonance.artistic.network invites you to our third biannual "re.sonance" festival.
We create a free real feedback space for our members and we invite emerging young artists, (net)-activists and scientists to present their work to a broad public.
"re.sonance" signifies "feed.back". The creation of a "freely accessible space" allows people to express opinions and discuss ideas.
During the festival, we present our book and multi-media DVD, designed to showcase our members and invited artists. We invite you to participate in our Work-In-Progress-Shows, Workshops, Performances and Exhibitions held in unused spaces in Vienna and Graz.
We present a comprehensive cross-section of methods through the eyes of diverse organizations, festivals and groups, working by the use of similar methods and within familiar fields of interest. On our topics from "Neighborhood Mapping" to "Social Interaction" through to "Technology Art" and "(Net)-Activism" we present groups such as Telestreet, Dynebolic, giss.tv, Subnet, mur.at, Faktum Flakturm, Transit, 5uper.net, kein.org, Ubermorgen, Wiener Graffiti Union and many individual artists.
sonance.artistic.network continues our tradition of offering free space, a free infrastructure and a free language & culture-space for open ideas, fresh impacts and emerging projects. By realising re.sonance.007 we are reinforcing our place as a forum for artists at the intersection of technology and human interaction.

On September 12, 2007, the public was informed by a press release
that two Vienna art institutions, the GENERALI Foundation, and
BAWAG Foundation, will merge and be located in the same place.
All current human and structural resources will be consolidated into
one “FOUNDATION(s)QUARTIER GmbH” to be established by the
BAWAG, P.S.K., and Generali.
The undersigned wish to register their apprehensions regarding this
consolidation largely made with respect to economic considerations.

From the 3.-13th of October, in "Alter Zoll" an ancient building of
the customs and the DLRG-Haus at the Rheinhafen in Karlsruhe
was transfomed into an open project space for 17 young artists
from Tallinn and Karlsruhe.
By combining working and living the dimensions of work and life are
in a liquid changeover.
During this time we broached the issue of process-related works.
It was not our aim to show finished works but to give the audience a
possibility to get a insight in the process of work.
Interested people visited us during the period.
At the 13th there was be a public Vernissage/Finissage.

WE WANT TO RE-OPEN UP THE FLAK TOWER TO COMMUNICATE ART AND HISTORY!
NO MORE REINTERPRATIONS, BELITTLEMENTS, GRINDINGS. WE WANT TO DEAL WITH IT!
The project FAKTUM FLAKTURM is one of its kind. It's an opportunity
for facing and analysing the past on an international scale, a
European experiment with regard to remembering the past and conveying
history.
We want to enable to discuss how art can be seen as a means for an
active conveyance of knowledge, the free space as a place for a new
form of the contemporary, the mute house as an open,
discourse-relevant platform.
The access to the tower was closed down by the City of Vienna in April 2007.
We shout out to all artists and everyone interested to solidarize with
us and support us according to their possibilities!

We were looking for artists (f/m) who played football.
The term "Artist" is to be understood in the meaning of Joseph Beuys:
"Every human being is an artist".
There were also no restrictions caused by the quality of your soccer playing skills.

We were around 20 players from both countries.
The match took place on Saturday the 2nd of June 2007
on the frontier between Austria and Slovakia.
The players had use there passports cause the football-pitch was
diretcly at the border-line Berg/A - Petržalka/SK

Global/local video features by Killer TV
On wednesday the 29th of November KillerTV featured various
small scale videoprojects from all over the world.
Video can be an instrument forawaremess and empowerment.
But there are also exchange projects: the mixing of video from
different parts of the world.

at sunday the 10. of September we did invite
to a live-net:art-brunch at 12/13:30 into two locations
with a discussion about digital election/voting systems.
One Part of the virtu-real meating will take place in
Vienna, Austria and the second half of the desk will
be placed in Tallinn, Estonia. More information soon here.

The Workshop of the PROJECT TRANSIT was taking place
in the first week of July in Nickelsdorf.

The entire ECONOMY CLASS project exclusively
relies on the effective networking within the community,
which clearly contrasts it from institutionalised cultural activities.
This results in an organic social structure, which has grown
within just a few days, and can be considered as a work of
art in its own right.
